2017 ''Constable Amos'' Pinot Noir
$96 CLUB PRICE.
This is an exceptional pinot, built in the mould of a top Burgundy with 25% new oak, beautifully extracted tannins of lithe detail, and a quotient of whole-cluster rasp that speaks exactitude! All the components converge to deliver a complex potpourri of clove, cardamon, cinnamon, five-spice, mulch, campfire and red fruits a go go. This deserves to be placed among the country's very best. Savoury and thoroughly compelling.

Literally, one of my most favourite wines in the world! If you like your Pinot Noirs more on the complex side with lots of length (who doesn't), then this wine is for you.

I discoverd Gala wines while on a recent trip to Tassie and this wine is an exemplary example of what how I believe a Tasmanian Pinot should taste. I enjoyed the more complex flavours complemented with the soft tannins, I'm gland I brought a couple.

Clearly one of the best pinots in Australia, indeed internationally. Complex, beautifully balanced, unmistakable. It definitely benefits from age - the 2013 is drinking well now
